Use
Your customers and sales employees can use this Internet application component (IAC) in Advertising Management (IS-M/AM) to check the way in which fixed spaces have been booked.
Customers or sales employees can find out whether a fixed space is still free for a date in a booking unit and whether it can therefore be sold or purchased.

Use of the Check Fixed Space Availability Internet application component offers you and your customers a number of business benefits:
Benefits to customers:
● Your customers can check whether there are still free spaces available at any stage.
● Your customers no longer need to contact your employees to obtain information about the positioning situation.
Benefits to publishers:
● 24-hour worldwide availability allows you to achieve higher sales volumes.
● Employees who were previously responsible for providing positioning information can now perform other duties, since your customers can obtain the information required directly.
● Your sales employees know which fixed spaces are still available and are therefore in a position to make more specific offers. Customers are not offered fixed spaces that have already been booked.
Prerequisites
Standard Default Settings
You must make settings for the IAC in the Advertising Management (IS-M/AM) Customizing settings under Sales ® Order ® Internet Application Components (IACs) ® Fixed Space Availability.

Features
Comparison with SAP Transaction
The IAC corresponds to the standard SAP transaction Fixed Space Planning. However, it is a highly simplified version.
The standard SAP transaction and the IAC are distinguished as follows:
● Before using the IAC, you must make Customizing settings to control the combinations of booking units and fixed spaces that can be displayed.
● The system displays the result of the check in a list in the IAC and not in an interactive tree structure.
● The system does not display orders that book fixed spaces in the IAC. The system only displays whether spaces are still available.
Possible Adjustments
You can enrich the data that is displayed for the Internet Application Component. You can adjust templates if fields already exist in the standard transaction.
Every change made to the SAP development objects used for this Internet Application Component constitutes a modification.
You should not therefore make any changes to development objects in the standard system under any circumstances. Copy the templates into the customer name space instead.
Data Output via the Internet Transaction Server
Data is displayed using the Internet transaction server. The data determined is prepared using HTML forms (templates) and displayed on the Internet in HTML format.
