Processes in Scope
Each organizational unit can specify which processes in the central process catalog are relevant for them, that is to say, which of those processes fall within the project scope of that organizational unit. These are the processes that have a considerable effect on the balance sheet.
The specification of processes in scope is a recommendation for the acceptance of processes by the organizational unit.
· The organizational hierarchy and the central process catalog have been defined.
· You have authorization for the task Perform Scoping of Processes (PERF-SCOPP).
· The task is scheduled (see Task Scheduling).
All processes in the central process catalog that are valid for the selected timeframe can be included in the project scope. If a process is to be included in the scope, you set the relevant indicator. You can only select processes, not process groups.
For each process, you can enter a reasoning why the process is in scope (or why it is not in scope).
In the Assigned column, you see whether or not a process has already been accepted as applicable for the organizational unit. You can use this function as a consistency check after completing process assignment.
You can trigger the process assignment by choosing the Send Message pushbutton. This is particularly useful if you subsequently include an individual process in the project scope. As a message, the system sends the task Assign Process to Organizational Unit to the person responsible.
