Use

To create a process with process elements, you have the following options:

You can create the process with process elements as a separate building block.

You can create the process with process elements within an existing recipe.

This procedure describes how you create a process with process elements within an existing recipe. For more information about how you create a process with process elements as a separate building block, see Creating Recipe Building Blocks.

Prerequisites

You have created the required classes in Classification.

You have defined the process and process element types in Customizing for the SAP Environment, Health and Safety component, under Specify Specification Types.

You have specified the properties of the process and assigned the views in Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Set Up Processes.

You have specified the properties of the process elements and assigned the views in Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activities Configure Stages, Configure Operations, and Configure Actions.

Procedure

...

       1.      Load the recipe for which you want to create a process with process elements and select it in the hit list or the navigation area by double-clicking it.

       2.      Choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Process tab page.

       3.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Append Row or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Insert Row.

       4.      Create the required stages.

You have two options here: enter a number first and then a description (optional), or enter a description straight away and allow the system to assign the number automatically after you have confirmed your entries.

Recommendation

Assign the numbers in steps of 10. You can automatically renumber the numbers in intervals of 10 after you have entered them by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Renumber.

       5.      Create the required operations.

To do so, insert a row below the entry for the stages. For technical reasons, you have to select the row below the stage. Enter the operation and proceed as described in step 4.

       6.      If you want to add a stage between two other stages later, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Append Row and enter the required number. After you have confimed your entry, it is automatically moved to the correct position.

       7.      Save your entries.

If you want to create actions, go to the screen for editing operations.

       8.      Double-click the required operation in the table in the process view or in the detail area. The This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Actions tab page for editing operations appears.

       9.      To create the actions, follow steps 3 and 4.

   10.      Confirm and save your entries.

If necessary, choose the other recipe tab pages for the relevant process elements and enter the required data there. For more information, see Editing of Processes and Process Elements.

Note

You can also create the process elements directly while you are editing the respective object. Double-click the object (for example, a stage) to choose it in the detail area, or directly from the recipe editing screen. The initial editing screen is then displayed. Proceed as described in steps 3 and 4.
