The second section gives you an overview of standard reports in Human Resources. Arranged in accordance with the component hierarchy, it provides you with the following information for each report: a detailed description of functions, a list of selection and output fields, and usually an example of how the report is used.

The third section describes the reporting tools that can be used to report on HR data. It also gives you an overview of which tools are capable of meeting which requirements.

Navigation

The HR Reporting manual is part of the SAP Library. Once you have accessed the HR Reporting manual, an overview tree is displayed on the left side of the screen. It acts as a table of contents. You can use this structure to acquire an overview of the contents.

If you want to find specific information objects, you can also use the integrated full-text search or index functions.

You are advised to use the full-text search function in HTML Help as the most effective means of finding standard HR reports.

Plain HTML

If the plain HTML display variant is supported at your enterprise, you can execute a full-text search for the entire SAP Library using a Verity ã search engine. Click on the search icon, enter a search term or string, and choose Find. You can then choose the topic you require from the hit list that is displayed.

HTML Help

If the HTML Help display variant is supported at your enterprise, you can execute a full-text search for the HR Reporting manual. Choose Search, enter a term or search string, and choose List topics. You can then choose the text segment you require from the hit list that is displayed. The full-text search function is particularly useful if, for example, you need to search for specific fields to be reported on by a report. (The HTML Help user interface is only available in English.)

You can also search using the index. Choose Index, enter a keyword or search string, and choose Display. If the keyword links to just one text segment, it is displayed immediately. If the keyword links to more than one text segment, they are displayed in a hit list from which you can select the text segment that you require.
