Maintaining Customer Master
Records 
In this procedure, you determine the applicability of taxes for the customer by assigning a tax classification in the customer master record. Normally, retail customers are taxable and wholesale customers are exempt.
You have defined the tax relevancy of the customer master record.
To access the customer master records, from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Customer ®Change ® Sales and Distribution.
Enter your customer. Choose Billing document to check or change the tax classification for this customer. If the customer is taxable, choose 1. If the customer is exempt, choose 0.
