Check-Out 

Definition

Check-out is a yard activity performed when an outbound vehicle arrives at the checkpoint from within the yard.

 

Use

Check-out is primarily performed by checkpoint operators using the checkpoint tool. For more information, see Using the Checkpoint Tool.

In addition, check-out can be performed by the following users:

·        Yard managers via the yard monitor.

·        Users via RF devices.

For more information, see Executing a Check-Out Activity.

When a vehicle is checked-out from the yard:

·        A check-out activity is created with status 6 Vehicle departed.

·        All of the activities associated with the vehicle are given the status of 6 Vehicle departed.

·        The shipment to which the vehicle is assigned is updated as follows:

¡        The status of the Shipment end field is set to Completed.

¡        The actual date and time for end of shipment are filled in the relevant fields.

·        If the vehicle has been defined as permanent, the vehicle remains in the database. If it travels to another yard, it is visible in the new yard. If it travels to an external location, its location is either empty or updated to the external location via Business Add-In LXYRD_ACTIVITY_PROC.

·        If the vehicle has not been defined as permanent, it is removed from the database.
