FunctionDocument Split

 

Before the Automatic Offsetting Account Determination program determines the offsetting accounts in an accounting document, it can split the document into several different subdocuments according to your Customizing settings.

The split is only temporary and only for the purposes of determining the offsetting accounts. The split is not saved on the database.

Splitting documents is useful, for example, in accounting documents that contain large numbers of line items, such as material price change documents. It is not mandatory for all documents.
