Application Customizing (QM-IM-SM) 

Use

In application Customizing, you can change the settings for archiving runs.

Integration

The residence times maintained in Customizing are taken into consideration during preprocessing. 

The BAdI ARC_QM_SAMPLE_CHECK allows extra checks during preprocessing.

The BAdI ARC_QM_SAMPLE_WRITE allows you to archive and delete customer-specific data. It is called during the archiving and deletion runs.

Prerequisites

You have maintained all the plants in which you want to archive physical samples in the system.

In the Organize Archiving view, you can maintain plant-dependent and physical-sample-category-dependent residence times

You can create and activate implementations for the BAdIs ARC_QM_SAMPLE_WRITE and ARC_QM_SAMPLE_CHECK under the node Business Add-Ins for Archiving.

Activities

For every combination of plant and physical-sample category that you want to archive, you must define a residence time.

The system only executes preprocessing for samples for which a residence time has been defined.

Preprocessing sets the status Blocked for Archiving in plant 0001 for physical samples of category 1 (primary samples) 100 days after the last change of the sample, and for physical samples of category 3 (reserve samples) 360 days after the last change of the sample.

Samples cannot be archived in other plants and for other physical-sample categories.
