Function documentation Withholding Tax Certificates Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

When you withhold tax on a vendor payment, you are obligated to provide the vendor with a withholding tax certificate, a statement of how much money you have withheld.

Features

Country Version Thailand comes with two Structure linkSmart Forms for withholding tax certificates, one for domestic vendors and one for foreign vendors (IDWTCERT_TH_DOM and IDWTCERT_TH_FRN respectively).

Use the Smart Forms to print the certificates on blank paper, not on preprinted stationery. Using the logic and other information in the Smart Forms, the Generic Withholding Tax Report program automatically:

In Thailand, you issue your vendors a separate withholding tax certificate for every transaction where you withheld tax from them. In terms of the SAP System, that means that the system prints a separate certificate for each accounting document that contains one or more withholding tax items.

In Thailand, withholding tax certificates have two numbers: a certificate number and a sequential number.

The preprinted stationery contains different boxes for the different form numbers. Using the stationery, you would check the appropriate box. However, the system prints the number instead.

Activities

To print the withholding tax certificates for your vendors, use the Generic Withholding Tax Report program. Country Version Thailand comes with two standard variants for creating certificates, one for domestic vendors (SAP&TH_CERTDOM), and one for vendors from abroad (SAP&TH_CERTFOR).

Since the sample withholding tax types in Country Version Thailand are set to No Certificate Numbering, the standard variants work on the assumption that you want to number the certificates using the program.

When you run the program in update mode, the program displays a dialog box, where you can enter the details of the tax that you want to remit to the Revenue Department (see Remitting Withholding Tax). If you do not want to remit the tax at this moment, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
