Defining Number
Ranges
You define number ranges for construction progress report documents and CO documents.
· Header data for construction progress reports is stored in the construction progress report documents.
· The item data for construction progress reports and the remaining plan is stored in the CO documents.
...
1. Define which numbers the system can assign for construction progress report documents in Customizing for Project System under Revenues and Earnings ® Automatic and Periodic Allocations ® Construction Progress Report and Valuation ® Define Number Range Interval for Construction Progress Reports.
2. Choose business transaction EC-BP01: Construction Progress Report for the construction progress report
So that number range maintenance can be configured for the CO documents for this business transaction, you must once execute report RKTKA04C when implementing Construction Progress Report and Valuation of Semi-Finished Constructions.

The report checks whether all CO business transactions permitted for the number range are available for all controlling areas in table TKA04. If not, the missing entries are added to table TKA04. The TKA04 entries are needed in number range maintenance for CO documents. They correspond to the elements that are to be assigned to the number range groups.
3. Define the number range groups In Customizing for Controlling under Controlling ® Organization ® Number Range for CO Documents and assign transaction EC-BP01: Construction Progress Report for Number Range Group for CO Documents.
For more information about number ranges, see the SAP Library under Accounting ® Controlling (CO) ® Controlling (CO) ® Organization in Controlling ® Number Ranges.
4. Save your entries.
