Creation of Device Lists 

Purpose

As an additional feature in your project plan, you can create a device list. In this list you can plan the type and number of devices you need to provide for your measurement project.

Prerequisites

You must have created the device types in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety under Specify and Assign Measuring Device Types and Measurement Methods.

Process Flow

       1.      In the navigation area, you click your measurement project and choose  Devices. The system then inserts the icon for the device list in your project tree and opens the entry screen for the devices in the application area.

       2.      You specify the device type and the number of devices you require. You can use an indicator to control whether the input help lists only the device types that are assigned in Customizing to the measurement methods in your measurement project, or whether all device types specified in Customizing are to be listed.

If you want to select several device types in one step, you can choose  Multiple Dev. Type Selection to speed up selection.

       3.      You save the device list.

If you do not carry out this step, your device list is empty again when you next open your project and you will have to enter devices for the project again.

       4.      You print the device list.
