Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation Tools 

Use

As system specialist, you can use this function to analyze errors and delete data that is no longer needed for planning.

Features

The following tools are available:

·        Display Log

This enables you to check the error logs the system created for the following steps:

¡        Data collection

¡        Executing a planning run

¡        Detail planning

¡        Transferring plan data to Controlling

·        Delete Data Basis

This enables you to delete the infotype records of the Planning of Personnel Costs (0666) and Planning of Personnel Costs (5010) infotypes.

You might need to delete the data basis or personnel cost plans (see below) in the following cases, for example:

·         You have completed the implementation and test phase and want to reduce the load on your database. Therefore, you delete the test data before you start productive personnel cost planning.

·         You have completed personnel cost planning for the current planning session. Therefore, you no longer need the data basis or the personnel cost plans.

·        Delete Payroll Data

This enables you to delete the data basis you made available for personnel cost planning for posting payroll results to Accounting.

You do not actually delete any original Payroll data. Instead, you delete a copy of the payroll data that the system stored for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation in cluster CB in table PCL5.

·        Display Plan Data

This enables you to display the plan data created in a cost planning run to analyze any errors. The data displayed is not formatted as in Managing Personnel Cost Plans (for example, as total costs per cost item and in a monthly, quarterly, or annual view). Instead, it is displayed directly from cluser CP in table PCL5.

·        Display Original Documents

This enables you to display all original documents directly from cluster CC in table PCL5.

·        Delete Plans

This enables you to delete personnel cost plans even if you have already transferred them to Controlling. However, you must first have canceled the transfer of the personnel cost plans in Managing Personnel Cost Plans.

In Managing Personnel Cost Plans, you can only delete personnel cost plans that you have not already transferred to Controlling.

Activities

To execute the function from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Personnel Cost Planning ® Tools.
