Disposal Document Type
Type of disposal document used to group disposal documents together.
Depending on the type of waste, where it is disposed of, and the associated regulations and laws, various disposal documents are required. Each disposal document therefore belongs to a disposal document type. You specify the disposal document types according to your requirements under Specify Disposal Document Types in Customizing for Waste Management.

Disposal document types can be:
· German waste manifest (Begleitschein)
· German dock receipt
· US hazardous waste manifest
· Various disposal documents for US federal states
· Transit document in accordance with OECD
· Internal waste manifest
· Delivery note
You can set up disposal document types according to the following criteria, for example:
· Disposal documents for hazardous wastes and for wastes subject to waste life-cycle analysis
For these disposal documents, you can, for example, use the disposal document types BGS (German Begleitschein) and UNS (dock receipt) delivered in the standard system.
· Disposal documents for wastes subject to waste life-cycle analysis
For these disposal documents, you can, for example, use the disposal document type DLN (delivery note) delivered in the standard system.
· Disposal documents for wastes that are neither hazardous nor subject to waste life-cycle analysis
For these disposal documents, you can, for example, use the disposal document type DLN (delivery note) delivered in the standard system.
You specify the disposal document type when you create a disposal document.
The disposal document type controls data entry and further processing of the data in the SAP disposal documents component. For each disposal document type, you can adapt, for example, the fields and tab pages available for data entry to suit your requirements in Customizing for Waste Management. You can, for example, hide individual fields and specify that other fields require an entry (required entry fields). For example, you can ensure in the disposal documents that must contain a waste approval that this waste approval is actually entered by defining the corresponding field in the corresponding disposal document type as a required entry field. In addition, you can specify which checks are to be carried out when you enter data for a disposal document of a disposal document type. For more information about the settings controlled by the disposal document type, see the Disposal Documents section in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Waste Management.
The disposal documents are displayed in the overview tree in the SAP disposal documents component, sorted according to the disposal document type.
