Object documentation Infotype 0159 (Seniority Pay Scale Jump) Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Use this infotype to manage data related to seniority pay scale jumps for each employee.

Note

This infotype must be managed within the companies where seniority is calculated. The information included herein is used in the payroll run and for statistic purposes.

Use

The information included in this infotype is used by the system during the payroll run. The data entered in this infotype enables the system to recognize the terms concerning the seniority pay scale jumps to be applied to each employee during the payroll run.

Some information contained in this infotype is also useful for statistical purposes.

Structure

Payment and valuation methods are set in the payroll implementation guide: Payroll -> Pay scale jumps due to age. If a specific procedure has been previously set in this implementation guide, such procedure will be offered here.

Infotype 0159 is made up of the following fields:

     Pay scale jump indicator

In this field, you enter the indicator related to the type of contract to which the pay scale jump refers, for example “metalworker”.

Date of the next pay scale jump

This date is automatically updated by the system when the employee accrues a seniority pay scale jump.

A monthly report automatically updates this date if the employee is not entitled to the remuneration. This prevents the employee receiving the pay scale jump, for example, for absence due to military service.

Number/percentage of current pay scale jumps

These fields calculate the number or percentage of the pay scale jumps accrued by the employee up to that date.

Number/percentage of blocked pay scale jumps

These fields are managed for the metal and textile worker contracts in order to define the blocked pay scale jumps (or their percentage), accrued up to a certain date established by the various Collective Labor Agreements.

Number of conventional pay scale jumps

Maintain this field for metalworker contracts. It includes the number of pay scale jumps accrued since 01.01.1980 and is evaluated on a standard basis.

     Part-time percentage/divided by 24

In case of part-time remuneration, the system processes the pay scale jump amounts accrued according to the percentage of part-time work (or divided by 24).

This pay scale jump is updated on a monthly basis and is set to zero when the new pay scale jump is accrued.

     Service class

The service class refers to a payment to which only insurance employees are entitled.

This payment depends on the level, service and seniority of an employee.

The possible input values range from 1 to 8 according to the service years in the same class.

The possible changes from one class to the next are automatically calculated by the system, using the data posted in table T5ITS7.

Integration

Use this infotype to determine the values – for some fields – collected from the data entered in the infotypes Organizational Assignment (0001) and Personal Data (0002).

The wage types, as well as the data relating to pay scale jumps accrual, must be inserted and valued into the infotype Basic remunerations (0008), while in this infotype all information concerning the seniority situation for the pay scale jumps are posted. The calculation report allows the updating of either both infotypes or just one of them.

When the user saves the inserted data in this infotype, the system checks the indicated procedure with the settings in the payroll implementation guide in Payroll -> Pay scale jumps.
