LAW (Wage Statement) Payroll Unit
By creating payroll units, groups of employees are formed on the basis of shared tax-related or social-insurance-related criteria. The system uses the payroll units for payroll and for reports and evaluations. Thus, those employees with shared criteria regarding the wage statement are grouped together in the LAW (wage statement) payroll unit.
The payroll units are created when the system is implemented in Customizing for Payroll Switzerland. To group employees in the LAW payroll unit the standard system uses the CHFI8 feature. The system uses this feature along with the employee’s organizational assignment as specified in Organizational Assignment infotype 0001 in order to determine the employee assignment to the LAW payroll unit.
This feature supplies the payroll unit (the abbreviation) as a return value. The system uses this return value to read the Payroll – Wage Statement (LAW) view (V_T5C2N). The data stored in the view is included on the wage statement.
You can store the following data for the for each LAW payroll unit:
· Employee’s work location
· Free transportation between place of residence and work location
· Contribution for meal costs at work location
· Canteen facilities available
· Provision of equity or debt recovery rights
· Remarks
· Employer’s address
· Contact person/Telephone number
In Fiscal Data CH infotype (0038), you cannot
override the employer’s address and the contact
person/telephone number.
