Displaying Labels
· You have edited the following IMG activities in Customizing for Global Label Management:
¡ Specify Labeling Scenarios
¡ Set Up Generation Server for Label Generation
¡ Install Program for Label Printing on Workplace PC
· You have determined labels and have reached the label tree screen.
...
1.
Choose the
function in front of the label you want to
display.
2. If the system finds that the data to be displayed will not fit onto the label, the Label Printing: Data Overflow dialog box will appear. You can reduce the validity areas here, so that the label contains less data. Proceed as follows:
...
a. Select the validity area you want to delete, that is, the one for which you do not want any data to be displayed.
b.
Choose
and confirm your entries.
The system will try to display the label again. If the data fits onto the label, it will be displayed. If it does not, the Label Printing: Data Overflow dialog box will reappear. If this happens, repeat the last two steps until the label is displayed.

You can use the
Display/Print function to force the
system to display the label. The system will display the label even though the
data does not fit onto it.
However, you can only reduce validity areas and force the system to display the label if you have the correct authorization (authorization object C_EHSG_MP1, Label Printing).
The label is displayed using Microsoft Word.
