Appraisal Catalog

Use

The appraisal catalog is a central part of the mySAP HR Objective Setting and Appraisals component. You can use the catalog to depict any appraisal processes.

In the appraisal catalog, you edit and manage elements included in the hierarchical structure of the catalog and use these elements to create appraisal templates. As soon as an appraisal template receives the processing status Released, it can be used as a template for appraisal documents.

You can use the following elements in the appraisal catalog structure:

· Category Groups

· Categories

· Appraisal Templates

· Criteria Groups

· Criteria

· External Elements
BAdIs enable you to add external elements, such as qualifications.

Prerequisites

When you edit the appraisal catalog, note the hierarchical dependencies of the individual elements between one another. At least one category group and one category must exist in the appraisal catalog because you can only create appraisal templates below a category.

Features

The following functions are available in the appraisal catalog:

Create any number of appraisal elements (categories, appraisal templates, criteria groups, and criteria) and display, change, and delete elements.
Use status management for all elements in the appraisal catalog
Status management enables you to change the status for each individual element or release all dependent elements in a category (appraisal template) simultaneously.
Use any scale
Use value descriptions for objectives
Use predefined examples of appraisal templates
Use copy&paste function for copying appraisal templates, criteria groups, and criteria
Execute consistency check for appraisal templates and elements
Reuse elements and where-used list
Execute translation function
You can execute the translation function for each element in the appraisal catalog
Weight elements (differently)
Number criteria groups and criteria flexibly
Include any objects from the Personnel Development component
Configure appraisal templates quickly using a wizard
Upload and download appraisal templates from other SAP systems
Use transport connection for categories and appraisal templates
Display template-specific print layout and Web layout
Include additional data (template-header data, links)

Note To display the appraisal catalog of the mySAP HR Objective Setting and Appraisal component, you must select the value X, T, or A from input help in the Customizing settings for the switch HAP00/REPLA.
