Use

If you use text patterns when you output dangerous goods data, you can guarantee that the sequence, form, and content of the dangerous goods information meet the requirements set by regulations.

You can create and edit text patterns as phrases in Structure linkphrase management.

Prerequisites

Sample text pattern phrases are included in the standard SAP EH&S system. To be able to use these, you have:

...

       1.      Imported the sample text pattern phrases together with the EH&S sample phrase library.

       2.      Called the report program DGCTPATT once after installing SAP EH&S Release 2.7 and thus generated the required formatting for the text pattern phrases.

       3.      Copied the text pattern phrases to the active phrase library.

For more information, see the IMG activity Import Text Pattern Phrases in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management.

Procedure

The standard phrases supplied are assigned to phrase group 30.00 and can be selected via this group.

...

       1.      In the Basic Data and Tools menu, choose Phrases ® Edit Phrases.

The Edit Phrase: Initial Screen appears.

       2.      In the Phrase group field, choose 30.00.

       3.      Select the text pattern you want to edit.

       4.      Edit the selected text pattern according to the following criteria:

¡        Dangerous goods information is represented as symbols. Their respective content is only replaced when they are formatted for printing. The symbols are made up of the structure name RDGPRINT, a hyphen, and the corresponding field name, and are enclosed by & characters.

Example: &RDGPRINT-LWDGN&

RDGPRINT      Structure name

LWDGN    „Name of Dangerous Goods Regulation“ field name

¡        Characters that are to be output only if the value represented by the symbol is actually filled during print formatting are specified in quotation marks within the & characters enclosing the symbol.

Example: &RDGPRINT-VKTRT':'& (VKTRT = Description of mode-of-transport category)

If the VKTRT field is filled in the dangerous goods master, the value and a colon after it are output.

¡        Using the INCLUDE statement you can link in text modules such as dangerous goods descriptions. For Includes, you must enter the SAPscript control command /: in the format column.

       5.      Save your entries.

Note

For more information about working with the SAPscript editor, see the documentation for the editor.
