Creating an Access for Structure Evaluation

Use

You select the engineering object whose data you want to evaluate. On object-specific pages for this object, a wide range of detail data is displayed, and relationships to other objects in the engineering environment are evaluated.

Prerequisites

You are on the Initial Page of the product designer Web application.

Procedure

Select the tab page on which you want to select the object.

The remainder of the procedure depends on which tab page you selected the object on. The object-specific page is always called by means of a link.

Find iPPE object

You can select an iPPE object in the following ways:

Personal lists

If personal lists exists in your user master record (favorites, stack, or worklist), display the contents of the lists.
To copy the key data to the input field, click on the key data. The object-specific page of the selected iPPE object is loaded immediately.

Finding objects

Enter the data you know from the master record of the iPPE object, such as:

Product class
The input help supports the search by product class (class type 300 for material variants).

Linked to
First select the object type (document, material, change number, or DMU document). Then enter the object number in the Identification field.

To find documents, only enter the document number. All document types, document parts, and document versions for this number are determined.

You can also enter the document number generically, for example d1* to find all documents that start with the characters d1. The search is irrespective of document type, document part, or document version.

Once you have started the search, you see a table of the iPPE objects that have been found. To load the object-specific page, click on the link for an object.

Find Document

You can search for documents according to various selection criteria and select them from the hit list.

Result

You see a link to the object-specific page for an iPPE object.
