Use

It is not unusual for large organizations to receive hundreds of job applications in response to one job advertisement. In addition to reviewing applications manually, companies typically generate confirmation letters, rejection letters, and so on. Also, applicants frequently telephone organizations to check the status of their job application.

The Application Status Web application helps support a cost-effective and efficient recruitment procedure by allowing applicants to check the status of their job applications over the Internet. This enables you to dispense with a part of your administrative duties.

Advantages for employers:

·        Costs can be saved because applicants can track their own applications on the Internet. This means that companies have fewer telephone inquiries to answer, and that they do not need to create and send letters of confirmation.

Advantages for applicants:

·        Employees can find out the status of their application quickly and easily on the Internet. Another advantage is that they are not restricted to normal company opening hours.

Integration

When external applicants submit a job application using the Employment Opportunities Web application, they are given a temporary job application number, and a password. These can then be used later to check the status of an application.

If you want to use the Applicant Status Web application, you must have implemented the Employment Opportunities Web application.

Prerequisites

Authorizations/Security

The SAP System assigns applicant numbers and passwords to external applicants upon submission of their application.
