Object documentation Goods Receipt Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Goods receipt is posted when the returned goods arrive at the warehouse.

Use

When the returned goods arrive at the warehouse, and a basic inspection has taken place, the goods receipt is posted. At this stage, you can reject the complete conveyance load. The goods receipt at the unloading point is reflected by an inventory posting in SAP ECC, and SAP APO is informed about this posting.

The confirmation of the goods receipt posting is done before the inspection. If there are deviations between the originally posted quantities and the actual quantities, a posting change is triggered in SAP ECC. A document flow entry is attached to the returns delivery to make the posting visible in SAP ECC.

Note

Posting into non-valuated blocked returns stock does not allow you to complete a two-step stock transport order between two warehouses (Structure linkStock Transfer Between Plants in Two Steps).
