Process documentation Consignment Order Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

When you create a purchase order with an outbound delivery in another system, an unchecked delivery item is also created in the supplying system at item level from a purchase order schedule line. Availability checks are switched off for unchecked deliveries. When creating an unchecked delivery, the delivery date and delivery type are used as split criteria.

Stock Transfer Within a System Versus Cross-System Stock Transfer

In the future, it will be of no consequence to the user whether the supplying plant is in the same or in a different system to the receiving plant. Both cases can be covered using the same document type.

The system automatically determines which system contains the supplying plant.

You must assign a vendor master record specifically to the supplying plants in Customizing in the ordering system.

Unlike a normal stock transfer, the receiving plants for a consignment order must not be assigned to the company code of the supplying plant.

Communication Consignment Order <-> Unchecked Delivery

For examples of a consignment order process, see also the documentation Cross-System Stock Transfer (intra-company-code), Purchase Order, section Communication Purchase Order <-> Delivery.

Adapting the Purchasing Transaction to Consignment Stock Transfers

A stock transfer into the consignment stock is not possible at this time.

Therefore, you need to make the following adjustments to the purchase order history:

Triggering the Delivery

The system checks whether the supplying system is resident in another system. If this is the case:

See also the documentation Cross-System Stock Transfer (intra-company-code), Purchase Order, section Triggering the Delivery.

No Determination of Cross-CC Transfer Prices

The goods receipt for the consignment order does not result in a change in ownership of the goods.

For this reason, no cross-CC transfer prices are determined in the consignment order.

No Integration of Withdrawal/Consumption Processing

There is no integration of the withdrawal for withdrawal and consumption processing in the ordering and supplying system.
