A ship refers to any maritime carrier (such as passenger, cargo and cruise ships) that has some value attached to it and that can be used as collateral. In addition to the master data common for all collateral objects, the following additional information specific to the business of ships can be maintained:

Identification
This screen contains the following sections:

Identification

In this section, you can specify the names of the ship, the fleet and charter with which the ship is attached. You can also enter the number assigned to the ship by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Registration Data

You can enter the registration number, place, city and country of registration in this section.

Classification Data

The information regarding the ranking and classification such as the name of the company that assigned the classification, the type and date of classification. In addition, you can specify the International Ship Maritime (ISM) number attached to the ship.

Construction Data

The country and shipyard where the ship was constructed, the cost of construction and the date on which the ship was available for sale can be entered in this section.

Purchase Data

The date and cost of chase along with the rate of annual depreciation can be specified in this section.

Technical Data
This screen includes the following sections:

Specifications

In this section, you can enter details for determining the capacity utilization of the ship. These include the total weight capacity, number of cabins, parking units, containers and passengers capacity. You can also specify the dimensions such as length and volume of the ship.

Technical Data

Details such as the fuel consumption rate, the power and speed of the engine, the type of exterior for the ship can be entered in this section.
