Procedure documentation Collecting COBRA Events Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You follow this procedure to identify events that have taken place as a result of which employees and/or their dependents have become eligible for continuation of coverage under COBRA.

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Benefits ® COBRA ® Event Collection.
  2. Specify the period for which you want to collect COBRA qualifying events.
  3. Specify the set of employees (and thereby their qualified dependents) for whom you want to check the COBRA status.
  4. For the selection, you can use either personnel numbers, the criteria in the General benefits information area, or the selection buttons at the top of the screen.

  5. Choose Execute.

Result

The total number of each type of COBRA event identified is displayed. These events are automatically stored in the system in the temporary buffer (table T5UDB) to be used when you generate COBRA letters. By double-clicking on an event type, you can see the employees who have become qualified beneficiaries or whose dependents have become qualified beneficiaries, and the date on which the event occurred.
