Use

The Period distribution planning method for the manual entry of planning data allows you to distribute - on the basis of a distribution key - the values of the planning objects you selected to the periods you specified in the fiscal year variant. If there are already values at those periods, they are distributed again.

Prerequisites

You need to have created a distribution key or an access key to a segment-specific distribution key in Customizing for Profitability Analysis under Planning ® Planning Aids ® Distribution Key for Period Distribution.

Activities

Select the relevant lines and then choose Edit ® Planning methods ® Period distribution to execute period distribution. Enter the distribution key or the access key that was defined in Customizing.

Caution

If a distribution key or an access key has already been assigned (for example, via the Enter planning data parameter set or due to a distribution key field having been added in the planning layout), then it is overwritten.
