Maintaining Price for Class Master Data 

Use

You can maintain the information relevant to prices for the international securities identification number (ISIN) securities. You can even update the prices when required. These details are copied to the securities position as part of the class master data.

In the standard system, you must manually update the prices. You can choose to create your own implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) provided in the standard system, to automatically update ISIN prices from an external system.

 

Prerequisites

You must define the required ISINs in the class master data.

Procedure

       1.      In the SAP Easy Access screen, select Accounting ® Bank Applications ® Collateral Management ® Securities ® Maintaining Price for Class Master.

       2.      Specify the ISIN and the name of the ISIN for which you want to maintain prices.

       3.      Enter the current price and the price currency or the nominal value.

The system does not permit you to enter both the current price and the price percentage as this leads to inconsistencies in calculating the market value of the ISIN.

       4.      Save your entries.

Result

Whenever you create a securities position and specify an ISIN for it, the corresponding class master data and the relevant prices are copied for the securities position.
