Process documentation Manual Label Printing Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

This process describes how you determine and print suitable labels for a product. Depending on the labeling scenario the system can derive all the required data from only a small amount of specified data so that even users who do not have detailed knowledge of the label requirements can print the labels they require.

Prerequisites

·        You have edited the required IMG activities in Customizing for Global Label Management, Basic Data and Tools, and Dangerous Goods Management.

·        You have entered all the data required for labels and label determination (see Label Data Editing).

Process Flow

...

       1.      You select the labeling scenario and enter the required data.

The system determines additional data necessary for determining labels from the data that was entered.

       2.      You start label determination.

The system determines suitable labels and the number of labels from the data in the labeling scenario and displays both in a label tree.

       3.      You check the labels and the number of labels found, for example, by looking at the log for label determination, and display the labels.

       4.      You select the labels you wish to print, enter the data required for printing and print the labels.

Result

The labels are printed and the system records certain printing data (see Logging of Label Printing).
