Procedure documentation Assigning Authority-Assigned Numbers Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Authority-assigned numbers must be output on waste approvals and certain disposal documents for the waste management business partners involved. This procedure describes how you assign the authority-assigned numbers to a waste management business partner that apply to this business partner in the various validity areas.

Prerequisites

·        In Customizing for Waste Management, you have processed the IMG activity Specify Validity Areas.

·        You have executed the procedure Editing Waste Management Business Partners and are on the first tab page for the waste management business partner to which you want to assign authority-assigned numbers.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose No. assgnd by auth.

       2.      Enter data as required.

Caution

When you enter the validity area, note the following:

·         It is a requirement that the numbers stipulated by authorities, laws, and regulations in a particular validity area are also output on the disposal documents that are stipulated for this validity area. In the standard system, you can therefore only assign waste management business partners that have an authority-assigned number with a validity area corresponding to that of the disposal document type to a disposal document of the disposal document type BGS (German Begleitschein) and UNS (dock receipt). You specify the validity area for the disposal document type in Customizing for Waste Management under Specify Disposal Document Types.

·         The system uses the validity area to automatically determine, from all the authority-assigned numbers assigned, the correct authority-assigned number for the waste management business partner when you assign this business partner to a waste approval or disposal document. The validity area specifies, among other things, whether the authority-assigned number was assigned by a regional or transregional authority for the waste management business partner or whether its assignment is regulated by the corresponding regional and transregional authorities or laws. For more information about determining these numbers, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Waste Management under Specify Validity Areas.

Note

For a waste generator, you can also specify the return-within period for an authority-assigned number with a validity period. The return-within period must be complied with if the waste generator is assigned to a disposal document. The system automatically transfers this return-within period to the disposal document if the waste generator is assigned to a disposal document and the validity area for the return-within period corresponds to the period for the disposal document type. For more information, see the field help for the Return within field.

       3.      Save your entries.
