Waste Management Business Partner 
Definition
Person, institution, or organizational unit involved in the generation, transportation, or disposal of a waste.
Use
The waste management business partner is the central data object for uniformly modeling these persons, institutions, or organizational units in Waste Management.
You always access master data editing via an involved waste management business partner. This means that if you want to edit a disposal channel or waste approval, for example, you always first access the tab page for a waste management business partner that is involved in this disposal channel or waste approval.
Structure
The meaning of a waste management business partner is described more precisely by roles and partner types. It can have several roles. The following roles exist in the master data:
· Waste generator
· Waste disposer
· Waste transporter
· Authority
You cannot change these roles. You cannot currently define new roles in the master data either.
For each role, a waste management business partner can be described more precisely by a partner type. You specify partner types according to your requirements under Specify Partner Types in Customizing for Waste Management.
A business partner with the Waste generator role could, for example, be described more precisely by the partner type Internal point of generation.
In the master data, you can specify a higher-level waste management business partner for a waste management business partner of the same role and thus assign it to the hierarchy below the higher-level partner (see Assigning Higher-Level Waste Management Business Partners).
Using the following procedures, you can assign objects to a waste management business partner in the master data; these objects are then automatically used in the SAP Waste Management components if the waste management business partner is involved in a disposal process:
· Assigning Integration Objects
· Assigning Authority-Assigned Numbers
· Assigning Account Assignment Objects
Integration
The waste management business partner is not the same as the SAP Business Partner in the SAP System.
If you use Waste Management together with the SAP Waste Disposal Industry component of the SAP for Utilities Industry Business Solution and create a business partner there, a waste management business partner is created automatically and assigned to the business partner from the Waste Disposal Industry. The integration of the Waste Management functions in the Waste Disposal Industry functions makes this assignment possible.
Note that a Waste Disposal Industry business partner to which a private address has been assigned, is not created as a waste management business partner.
