Filter as Access for the Structure
Evaluation
Collection of settings that control which data is extracted from the iPPE product structure. It provides a data section for a specific working context.
Unlike the focus, the filter does not influence the status of the product. You can set the user profile in which the filter is to be active and define whether a particular working context is used.
The following data influences the selection of iPPE data and subsequent processing:
·
Data that you
use to restrict the selection of data according to validity
(such as plant, usage, effectivity, and assigned characteristic
values)
·
Data that
controls the processing of iPPE data
(for example, indicators for hiding iPPE objects, and attributes for
processing iPPE objects, such as deactivating an object)
The user profile of the iPPE workbench is used to restrict the quantity of available data for predefined working areas. In the user profile, you also define which filter criteria are used. You create the filter in the product designer (iPPE workbench).
Choose the following path: Logistics ® Central Functions ® Engineering ® Product and Process Engineering ® Product Designer.
You can run the extraction with reference to a filter.
You have the following options for specifying a filter:
· Enter the name of the filter.
· Select the filter from the possible entries.
· Select the filter from your personal filter list.
The system determines the product data in the complex product structure that meets the filter criteria.
