Merging Master Recipe Operations 

Use

You can merge two consecutive master recipe operations with a common primary resource. When you merge selected master recipe operations, the phases and all other components, such as QM, secondary resources, process instructions, and so on, are merged in one operation. You perform this function if the resource can execute the operations of two consecutive operations in one step.

You can merge an operation with the previous operation or next operation.

Prerequisites

·        You have transformed a master recipe.

·        Both operations have the same resource.

Procedure

Merging an Operation with the Previous Operation

...

       1.      Choose an operation. Remember that you cannot choose the first operation in the master recipe.

       2.      Choose Edit ® Master Recipe ® Merge Operations ® With Previous Operation.

The system inserts the chosen operation and all of its objects in the previous operation.

Merging an Operation with the Next Operation

...

       1.      Choose an operation. Remember that you cannot choose the last operation in the master recipe.

       2.      Choose Edit ® Master Recipe ® Merge Operations ® With Next Operation.

The system inserts the chosen operation and all of its objects in the next operation.
