Production Version Assignment
Only the recipe
header is implemented for plant-specific recipes in Recipe Management so far.
This means that the master recipe as well as all your own copies of this
recipe type are not integrated with the standard processes of SAP Production
Planning. You use this function to assign your recipes a
production
version that can be used for production and, in turn, refers
to the master recipe and bill of material (BOM) in the standard system.

The production version assigned to a recipe is not only valid for the change status selected but for all change statuses of a recipe.

You can now create a master recipe straight from a general or site recipe. For more information, see Transformation.
· You have specified that the recipe type you want to edit supports production version assignment. This applies to master recipes as well as all your own copies of this recipe type (see Customizing for Recipe Management, IMG activity Set Up EH&S Customizing).
· If you use distributed systems in your enterprise, the recipe and production version may be stored in different systems. In this case, you need a function that determines the system of a production version according to your specific ALE distribution model (see Customizing for Recipes, IMG activity Set Up Link to Distributed Production Versions).
You can assign only one production version to a recipe. You can then display the production version along with its master recipe in the standard system from within Recipe Management.
If you display or assign a production version that is stored in a different system, Recipe Management uses a remote function call (RFC) to access that system. The logical address (RFC destination) of the target system is determined using the function that you specified in Customizing for Recipes.
·
To assign a
