Use

Changing a Position

Procedure

  1. You are in the tree structure of your area of responsibility. Select a position using the left mouse button.
  2. Select the Change Position function using the left mouse button.
  3. The Change Position Data dialog box appears, in which the data to be changed is read and displayed on the displayed key date. You can change the names of positions or overwrite the jobs that describe them.

  4. If the position you selected is occupied, in the case of a changed or new job assignment, you must select an action.
  5. Choose Save.

Note

Alternatively you can use the drag & drop function to drag a position to the Change Position function in the function list.

Result

The modified attributes are saved in the database on the key date displayed. Once the database has been updated, a message appears; otherwise, an error message appears. The attributes of the position remain unchanged.

If you change the start of the processing period to the appropriate key date and then execute the Change Position function again using the same position, the system reads the data previously stored on the database.

Once the data has been successfully stored in the database a workflow is always triggered when person data must be updated due to changes. In that case the personnel administrator responsible receives a work item in his or her inbox. He or she then decides whether to:
