Generation of Work Area Documents
If you call the report information system from work area management, you can determine which documents (reports) the data for a work area flows into (such as standard operating procedure or accident report) and generate these documents.
You have installed
the current version of
Windows Wordprocessor
Integration (WWI) on your workstation. You will find information on
installing WWI in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools under WWI
Installation.
You can call the function in the following ways:
· You have run a work area search, are in the hit list, and have selected the required work area.
Choose Work Area ® Report Information System.
· You are editing the header data for the work area (Edit Work Area: Header screen).
Choose Work Area ® Report Information System.
Calling the function here gives you the work area-related view of the report tree. This means that only reports are displayed that can be generated for the report application WORKAREA.

The system determines the reports based on the report application and the report categories included in the generation variant. All reports with the status Released or Historical are displayed.
The top node of the report tree is the work area to which the information relates.
The next node is the generation variant with validity area, and below it, the reports. If one or more agents are assigned to the work area, for which reports can be generated, the reports for the agent(s) are also displayed. Here the agent, the generation variant, and the determined reports are shown beneath the work area.
You have the following options for the listed reports:
·
Display
them using the page icon
·
Send
and archive them using
report shipping
