Entry
of Values Using Amounts
If an agent for which you want to perform a risk assessment is a quantifiable variable, you can enter measured values and other amounts in the amounts function. Depending on the nature of the agent, you can then analyze it using the measured value-reference value comparison or the summated rating.
By recording the amounts, you are also fulfilling your obligation to record and document data at the workplace.

You enter reference values in specification management (see Entering Reference Values).
If your system is set up accordingly, it transfers measured values you entered as part of the scope of a measurement project in the measurement management (EHS-IHS-MEM) component automatically to the amounts when the project is released. For more information on this integration option, see Status Editing for Measurement Projects.
· Storing measurement results
You enter your measurement results in a structured manner on tab pages. There is one tab page available for each amount category (mass, volume concentration, and so on). You assign each value you enter a measured value category, such as a time-weighted average or daily maximum.

Which assignments are possible depends on the system settings you have made in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety under Specify Measurement Items.
· Entering administration data on measurements
You can store administration data such as a measurement job number, the measurement method, or a person responsible.
· Transferring amounts using the amount determination function
If measurements or values you want to enter in the amounts were already entered at other places in the SAP system, you can determine the data using the amount determination function and transfer it to the amounts. For more information, see Amount Determination.

To perform an amount determination, choose Agents ® Amount Determination in the Industrial Hygiene and Safety menu.
· Executing a release process
You can execute a release process for each amount (see Status Editing for Amounts).
· Creating follow-on measurements
If you want to enter control measurements for an existing measurement or a new measurement, you can create a follow-on measurement. This limits the validity of the existing measurement to a key date, that is it has a version assigned to it.
You can create follow-on measurements only for amount records whose end of validity is not yet limited, meaning they are still valid indefinitely.
To call the function, proceed as follows:
...
1. In the risk assessment component run a search query.
2. In the hit list for the required risk assessment, select the agent for which you want to enter amounts.
3.
Choose
Amounts.
The editing screen for amounts appears where you enter the required data.
