Procedure documentation Creating Control Cycles for Classic or Event-Driven Kanbans Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

       1.      From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Logistics ® Production ® KANBAN ® Control Cycle ® Control Cycle Maintenance.

The screen appears for Control Cycle Maintenance: Display.

       2.      To search for a demand source enter the following data:

¡        Plant

       3.      Plant and supply area of demand source.Select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Data Selection.

In the right-hand screen area, the system displays any available control cycles that are in the plant or in the plant and supply area.

       4.      Switch to change mode.

       5.      To create a new control cycle select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Create Control Cycle.

       6.      To create a new control cycle using the copy function, highlight the relevant control cycle and select This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Create Control Cycle with Temp.

The dialog box Create Control Cycle appears.

       7.      Select either the control cycle type Classic KANBAN or Event-Driven KANBAN. Enter the material and the supply area, for which you want to create a control cycle.

       8.      Select Continue.

In the Control Cycle group box, the system displays the data entered.

Note

If you have created the kanbans as material master records, you can enter the material number of the kanban as the material number in the Load Carrier field. A special type of material (CONT) is designated for the kanban containers.

You can change the supply area in an existing control cycle if the new supply area is assigned to the same storage location as the previous one.

       9.      Enter the appropriate parameters for the control cycle for classical kanban or the control cycle for event-driven kanban .

   10.      Save your entries.
