Property Classification
In a property tax declaration, you have to classify your assets, for example, as buildings or machinery. For this purpose, you use the Property Classification Key field in the asset master record.

The Property Tax Report only covers assets that you have assigned a property classification key to. It disregards any others.
In Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), check the standard property classification keys, by choosing Asset Accounting ® Special Valuation ® Net Worth Tax ® Create Property Classification Key. If necessary, create new ones.
In the standard system, the Property Classification Key field is not displayed in the asset master record. Activate it in Customizing for FI, by choosing Asset Accounting ® Special Valuation ® Net Worth Tax ® Define Screen Layout. Set the field group rule 50 (Property Classification Key) to Required.
Classify each asset master record. To do so, in the asset master record, enter a property classification key on the Net Worth Tax tab.
When you execute the Property Tax Report, you can use the property classification key to group the assets in the tax declaration.
