Time Management for Concurrent
Employment
You can use this component to process your employees’ time-management data if you have employees who have one or more personnel assignments with one or more employers.
You should have a thorough knowledge of Time Data Recording and Administration and Time Evaluation or Day Processing of Time Data in Payroll before you start to configure Concurrent Employment for Time Management.
You can use this component to manage the key time-management processes:
· Planning working times and determining availability
· Recording and administering time data
· Evaluating times
· Calculating the gross amount in payroll
This component provides a new framework for evaluating employees’ time data and calculating the gross payroll amount. This framework is part of a new time evaluation report, RPTIME01 (Time Evaluation for Concurrent Employment), and can also be called up by selected country-specific payroll drivers. If you have implemented Concurrent Employment, you can use the new framework to evaluate the time data of all the employees for whom you run the time evaluation or payroll report, not just concurrently employed persons.
You can integrate your existing Customizing settings for Personnel Time Management or Day Processing of Time Data in Payroll.

For the sake of simplicity, Time Evaluation for Concurrent Employment in the following documentation will refer also to the functions of the same name in Time Data Processing in Payroll.
If there is information that applies only to Time Evaluation or to Day Processing of Time Data in Payroll, this will be stated explicitly.
The functions for Concurrent Employment are based on the standard functions of the following components:

· Currently not all Time Data Recording and Administration functions have been enhanced for processing multiple personnel assignments in Concurrent Employment for Time Management. Not all Time Evaluation functions are currently available to process multiple personnel assignments. For up-to-date information about the latest developments, see the SAP Note 516489.
· If you use external time recording systems to record time data, employees must have a separate time recording ID card with a separate number for each of their personnel assignments.
· Collision checks for time data over more than one of an employee’s personnel assignments can be carried out only within Time Evaluation. You can, however, manually check employees’ personnel assignments for collisions using the Time Manager's Workplace and a new report, RPTPSHCE (Personal Work Schedule).
· The functions for absence valuation, FMLA (USA), STD/LTD (USA), SSP/SMP (UK), and Vacation Pay (Canada) are not included in the Concurrent Employment function.
