Definition
The travel profilecontains the rules through which the enterprise-specific travel policies in SAP Travel Planning are applied. The travel profile thus contains the traveler's rights.
Use
Assigning the travel profile to a traveler ensures compliance with the travel policy when trips are planned and booked for that traveler.
The rules defined in the travel profile control what transportation and accommodations are displayed for an availability query. They also enable the available offers to be subdivided according to different priorities.
You make the settings in Customizing for SAP Travel Planning in the activities under Trip Rules and Profiles ® Travel Profiles.
Alternative: Feature TRVCP
The assignment of travel profiles based on infotype 0470 signifies assignment to individual employees. It is also possible to use feature TRVCP to assign a travel profile to employee groups according to their organizational assignments. Structure
You fill a travel profile by assigning values from certain parameters in Customizing for SAP Travel Planning.
A travel profile is made up of different combinations of the following parameters:

Integration
This set of rules is applied for price and availability queries of transportation and accommodations, as well as for booking.
The travel profile structure functions regardless of how strictly the Travel Privileges are regulated in your enterprise. You make the settings as to the extent to which you want to apply the travel policy in Customizing for SAP Travel Planning under Trip Rules and Profiles.
