Cash Flow
The cash flow lists all the actual and planned flow records relating to a loan in chronological order, including records still to be released and simulated records.
By calling up the cash flow, you can check whether your entries produce the desired flow records. Flow records can be generated in several ways:
· Flow records generated on the basis of conditions.
· Flow records entered manually using application functions: These include unscheduled repayments, disbursements, and additional charges or costs that are not defined as conditions.
· Accrual/deferral flows resulting from the periodic allocation of interest, charges and discount
· Valuation flows resulting from valuation of foreign currency loan positions on a certain key date.
The
system displays the cash flow using the
SAP List Viewer (ALV)
Grid Control (BC-SRV-ALV).
You can display the following predefined variants by choosing Settings ® Display variant ® Choose:
· Basic view
· Due date view
· Calculation view
· Local currency view
· Payment view
· Posting view
· Customer payment view
· Total for flow type
· View for manual changes
Select a flow record in the cash flow. Choose GoTo ® Calculation Base or double-click the flow record to display information on how the selected record was calculated.
Select a posted record (actual record) in the cash flow. Choose Goto ® Loan Document to display the loan document for the selected flow.
Once you have disbursed a contract, you can make manual changes to the following data for condition-based flows (planned records only) within the fixed period by choosing Change contract ® Calculate cash flow:
· Due date
· Payment Date
· Amount in position currency
· Payer/Payment Data

You can only make changes to condition-based flows after contract disbursement if you have special authorization.
When generating a cash flow, the system either partially or fully protects the flows you have changed manually, that is, the system does not change them automatically. The type of protection depends on the fixing of the flow. The following fixing options are available:
- Flow is not fixed
- Whole flow is fixed
- Due date and payment date are fixed
The system selects the appropriate fixing option automatically, depending on which data has been changed. However, you can also specify the fixing option yourself in the detail screen.
Select one or several flow records in the cash flow. Choose Extras ® Change flows. The Change Flows in Cash Flow Manually screen appears.
...
1. In this screen you can change the due date, the payment date and the amount which changes the loan position. Depending on which fields you change, the system determines the fixing type automatically. Two icons in the Fixing field display the fixing type used. To see this information directly in the cash flow, choose the display variant View for Manual Changes.
In the Change field you can see whether the data for the flow has been changed (icon) or not (empty).
You can reverse manual changes. To do this, select the flows that have been changed and choose Reverse changes or Reverse all changes. If you want to retain the change, but remove the fixing setting, choose Unfreeze flow or Unfreeze all. After removing the fixing setting, manual changes may lost under certain circumstances during the recalculation (for example, when planned records are updated).
2. Select a flow. Choose Other fields. The Changing Flows Manually: Detail Screen appears. From here, you can also change the flow data under Date fields and Amount fields. In the section headed Other, you can, for example, change the payment method or assign a different payer/payee to the flow. You can also enter the fixing type directly.
You can change the +/- sign for the amounts in accordance with the debit/credit indicator for the flow type (debit: '-' / credit: '+') by choosing Extras ® Switch sign (+/-).
To switch the currency, choose Extras ® Currency or Switch Currency. The following options are available:
· Settlement currency
· Position currency
· Local currency
To display or print the payment schedule, choose Extras ® Payment Schedule ® Display or Print.
To display the reconciliation account based on the flows in the cash flow and the resulting effective interest, choose Extras ® Effective interest.
