Procedure documentation Copying Entry Documents Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This procedure describes how you copy an entry document.

Note

External number assignment is not possible for copies of entry documents. If you want to assign an entry document number, you must create the entry document.

Prerequisites

You have specified an internal number range for the document category of the entry document that you want to copy in the IMG activity Specify Document Categories in Customizing for Waste Management.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Disposal Processing ® Edit Entry Documents in the Waste Management menu.

The Choose Entry Document Category dialog box appears.

Note

This dialog box only appears the first time you access disposal processing after you have logged on to the SAP system. The next time you access disposal processing, the system automatically uses the entry document category that you chose last time.

If you mainly display and edit entry documents of one entry document category, you can predefine this entry document category in your user profile.

       2.      Choose the entry document category of the entry documents that you want to copy and confirm your entry.

The Disposal Processing Change screen appears.

       3.      Specify the search criteria for the entry documents that you want to copy (see Searching for Entry Documents), and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Hit List.

The entry documents that correspond to the search criteria are displayed under Doc. overview.

       4.      Select the entry document that you want to copy and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Copy Entry Document.

Result

A copy of the entry document appears in the document overview. The assignments of waste management business partners and the account assignment data are not transferred to the copy.

The copy corresponds to an entry document that you have created and not yet saved. This means:

·        The copy is first assigned a temporary entry document number, which starts with two numerical characters (##). This number is replaced by a corresponding number from the internal number range when you save the data.

·        If you have copied an entry document that has already been posted, the corresponding postings are not performed automatically for the copy, in other words, you have to post the copy manually in order to carry out the postings.
