GM-GTE Customizing: Revenues Increasing the
Budget
Before you can use the revenues increasing the budget (RIB) function in Grantee Management (GM-GTE), you need to define the required derivation strategies and a calculation rule.
To carry out this work, access the GM-GTE implementation guide (IMG) by going to the IMG and choosing Public Sector Management ® Grants Management ® Grantee Management ® Budgeting and Availability Control ® Revenues Increasing the Budget.
Then carry out the following steps (the IMG documentation on each step contains detailed instructions on what to do):
· Define Derivation Strategy for GM RIB Objects
GM RIB objects are used to aggregate revenues and revenue budget, and to assign RIB rules. Use this step to enter information on how the objects are to be derived in your system.
· Maintain Calculation Rule for GM RIB
Use this step to maintain the calculation formulas used to define rules for GM RIB.
With a calculation formulas, you can define the following:
¡ The percentage of collected revenues that will be relevant for a budget increase (usually = 100%)
¡ A lower limit for revenues with budget-increasing effect
¡ An upper limit for revenues with budget-increasing effect
· Maintain Derivation Strategy for Rule Generation
Use this step to maintain the derivation strategy for proposing values for automatic generation of rules for revenues increasing the budget ("RIB rules").
This derivation strategy allows for assigning values relevant to the definition of RIB rules.
· In addition to the above, you need to integrate your grant type(s) with Funds Management (FM) by entering the relevant budget types in the grant type.
To do this from the Grants Management - Grantee IMG, choose Master Data ® Grant ®Maintain Grant Types. Then select a grant type and choose Funds Management Integration – Budget Types in the Dialog Structure. In the resulting overview, enter the budget types RBBS (RIB source process) and RBBT (RIB target process).
You can now use the RIB function as described in GM Budgeting: Revenues Increasing the Budget.
