Maternity, Adoption and Paternity Absence
Processing 
You use the infotypes listed under Prerequisites to record all employee information relevant to SMP/SAP/SPP evaluation. These infotype records provide the Payroll component with the information it requires to evaluate an employee's maternity, adoption or paternity leave data and calculate the correct payments during the payroll run.

All information required by the Payroll component for SMP/SAP/SPP evaluation is stored in the following infotypes:
· SMP/SAP/SPP GB (0088)
· SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP Exclusions (0086)
· Absences (2001)
Starting October 1, 2006, all employees with average earnings above the Lower Earning Limit (LEL) are eligible for Statutory Absence Payment processing. In case the employee is less than 16 years or over 65 years of age on October 1, 2006.
● If the Qualifying Week or Matching Week Sunday is before October 1, the employee is not eligible.
● If the Qualifying Week or Matching Week Sunday is on or after October 1, the employee is eligible.
● If the Qualifying Week or Matching Week Sunday falls on both the periods before and after October 1, each period is treated separately. The employee is not eligible for absence payment processing for the period until October 1. The employee is eligible for period after October 1.
