SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP Exclusions GB
(Infotype 0086)
You use Infotype 0086 to enter the reason for excluding an employee from Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP) or Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP). An excluded employee has no entitlement to the relevant statutory absence payment.
An employee is excluded from receiving SSP where an SSP 1 Form is produced by you.
On the basis of the information contained in infotype SMP/SAP/SPP GB (0088), the Payroll component is able to exclude an employee during the payroll run from receiving an SMP/SAP/SPP payment for the absence.

In some cases you may not need to generate the exclusion manually by creating an infotype 0088 record. Whether an exclusion is created in this way (on the basis of an Exclusions record), or automatically by the system, depends on how you have defined the exclusion reason.

You can view the exclusion reasons relevant for statutory absences in the respective Display Statutory SXP Exclusions steps in the Implementation Guide for Payroll: Great Britain.
