Sickness Absence Processing
You record all employee information relevant to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) in the infotypes listed below. These infotype records provide the Payroll component with the information it requires to evaluate absence data and calculate the correct SSP payments during the payroll run. The Payroll component uses this information to update the Absence Calendar.

For more information on the absence calendar, see the documentation for the Personal Absence Calendar for SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP in Core Absence Reporting Tools.
All information required by the Payroll component for SSP evaluation is stored in the following infotypes:
· Absences (2001)
· SSP1(L) Form Data Record (0085)
· SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP Exclusions (0086)

● If the PIW is on or after October 1, the employee is eligible.
● If the PIW falls on both the periods before and after October 1, each period is treated separately. The employee is not eligible for absence payment processing for the period until October 1. The employee is eligible for period after October 1.
