Change the Grouping for Net Calc., Retr. Acc.,
and Payment for Pers. Assignments
It is advisable only to process business processes like tax and garnishment within the same grouping for net calculation, retroacitve accounting, and payment. Therefore you cannot change this grouping for a personnel assignment.

In many countries, the system groups the personnel assignments for net calculation, retroactive accounting, and payment according to the employer. If, for example, there is a garnishment ruling for an employee and you assign the personnel assignment in question to a different employer, the new employer cannot make garnishments because the garnishment ruling is only valid for the old employer.
If you want to change the grouping for net calculation, retroactive accounting, and payment for a personnel assignment, you must end the personnel assignment and create a new one. You assign the new grouping to the personnel assignment; this means the new employer.

The exception to this rule is personnel assignments that you have just created and which have not had payroll run for them yet. You can still change the grouping for these personnel assignments.
Since the system groups the personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person differently for net calculation, retroactive accounting, and payment in the Payroll country versions, different master data changes can also lead to a change in this grouping for a personnel assignment depending on the country. For more information, see Grouping Personnel Assignments for Net Calculation, Retroactive Accounting, and Payment.
In Payroll, the system checks each personnel assignment of a concurrently employed person to see whether the grouping for net calculation, retroactive accounting, and payment has changed for a personnel assignment. If you have changed the grouping for one personnel assignment, during a payroll run the system rejects all the employee’s personnel assignments that belong to the same payroll area as the personnel assignment for which you have changed the grouping.
