Industrial Hygiene and Safety menu:

Work Areas ® Edit Work Areas

Work Areas ® Display Work Areas

The initial screen for the search appears. If you have already run a search, the system displays the search criteria from the previous search again. You can clear these search criteria by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Search Criteria.

       2.      Enter your search criteria.

All the search criteria you enter here are linked together with logic AND.

In some fields such as Work area or Description, you can use both a generic search and a search with placeholders. In other words, you can set up your search parameters as follows:

Single generic delimitation, for example, WKA*, *ei

Double generic delimitation, for example, *saw*

Placeholder in the middle of a key, for example, ES-D+-01

A combination of both search methods, for example, *12+678*

       3.      If necessary, change the key date.

The field displays either the current system date or the date of your previous search as the default.

Note

The key date specifies the date from which the data record must be valid. For work areas that have more than one version, this means that the system always displays only one version (the version valid on the key date).

If you specify a validity interval in addition to the key date, the system determines all data records that are valid on the key date and that also fulfill the selection criteria on at least one day within the validity interval. The days can be different for each selection criterion.

       4.      Enter other search criteria in the Restricting Criteria for Work Area Selection group box if required.

       5.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Hit List or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Insert.

Result

The hit list appears in which the result of your search query is displayed and from which you can navigate to other functions.

If the system was unable to find the work area, you can start another search or create the work area you were looking for.

Note

The search function is executed using user exits of the category WKA_QUERY. When you set up your system, you can therefore define enhancements for additional search criteria. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools under Manage User Exits.
