You are planning a budget increase for the cost centers as a percentage increase. You wish to enter the percentage increase. The system should calculate the plan value of the current year from the plan value of the previous year and the percentage increase.
Inverse formulas allow you to enter values in a formula column while planning; the system then uses these to calculate the values for another column of the planning layout. How to define an inverse formula is described in detail in Customizing.
Planning Layout
Lead Column |
Value. Col. 1 |
Value. Col. 2 |
Formula Column |
Cost center |
Plan current year |
Plan prev. year |
%-Increase ((Plan curr. yr.- Plan prev. yr.) /Plan prev. year) * 100 |
You indicate the column Plan current year as not ready for input, the column %-increase as ready for input. Then you generate the inverse formula.
In the interactive planning you copy the plan values of the previous year to the plan values of the current year.
After copying the planning:
Cost center |
Plan current year |
Plan prev. year |
% Increase |
530 |
500.000 |
500.000 |
|
You enter the percentage increase. The plan costs of the current year are calculated.
After calculating the new plan costs:
Cost center |
Plan current year |
Plan prev. year |
% Increase |
530 |
550.000 |
500.000 |
10 |
