A form report offers greater options for formatting detail and drilldown lists. It uses a predefined form as a layout. For information on form maintenance, see the cross-application handbook Drilldown Reporting.

A form can have one or two axes, meaning either columns, rows, or columns and rows. For a form with one axis, you merely define the content and sequence of the columns or rows. Please see Example: Working with a Basic Report for a Plan-Actual comparison.
