Financial data reported by your consolidation units either meets the local requirements of those units, or has been adjusted to meet your group’s requirements. Local and group requirements can differ, particularly if you are performing a statutory consolidation of data.
- If reported data meets local requirements, you can enter it in the Consolidation application and then post standardizing entries so that it meets the group’s requirements. You can use a separate posting level for standardizing entries in order to distinguish them from other entries.
- If the reported data has already been adjusted to meet group requirements, you do not need to post standardizing entries after entering it in the Consolidation application. If you need to post any corrections, you can use a separate posting level for this.
